Why we built this
The phrase “Made in USA” has been diluted by decades of regulatory loopholes and marketing half-truths. A product assembled in America from imported parts qualifies for the label. A factory that does the final stitch on imported textiles gets the flag. We built this index because we believe consumers deserve better.
How we verify
Every manufacturer in this index has been verified by our team. Verification means we have done at least one of the following:
- Toured the factory floor in person
- Audited the supply chain documentation for raw material origin
- Reviewed certificates of origin for primary inputs
- Interviewed the founder or operations manager about sourcing
We assign each manufacturer an Index Number, a permanent identifier in our database. Manufacturers keep their number even if they move or change ownership — it is their record in the index, not just their current listing.

What we index
We focus on durable goods — things that are made, not grown or extracted. That means furniture, tools, cookware, apparel, outdoor gear, industrial components, and the factories that make them. We do not currently index food and beverage producers, but that is coming.
We cover manufacturers in all 50 states. We are not a regional index or a lifestyle brand. We are a record.
How we make money
This site carries advertising. Ad placements are clearly labeled “Sponsored” and are separated from editorial content. Advertisers do not influence which manufacturers are listed, what we write about them, or their verification status. We have turned away advertising from brands that did not meet our sourcing standards.
We also offer a premium listing tier for manufacturers who want enhanced profiles, direct contact links, and placement in featured sections. Premium listings require the same verification standard as all other listings.
Submit a manufacturer
If you know of a factory that should be in this index, submit it here. We review every submission and contact the manufacturer directly. The verification process takes two to eight weeks depending on location and responsiveness.
